Your day to day:
As a Demi Chef de Partie you are responsible to take care of the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

- Organize what needs to be prepared as the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Executive Chef
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
- Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up and supervising of buffets and special functions
- Consult and check on daily requirements, menu and special day events and liaise with the team accordingly
- Guide and train the subordinates on a daily basis to ensure high motivation and economical working environment

**Requirements**:

- Ensure the quality of food served in employee restaurant, is of the highest standard possible appropriate to that area.
- Assist in training within your department and to attend training sessions when requested in line with hotel requirements
- Hygiene control - Cleaning Schedule. Ensure that all records for the Criterion board are maintained.
- SOPs for all dishes are implemented with the aid of a Chef de Partie.
- Training of Commis - setting up a detailed training program with the Chef
- Attend all relevant meetings
- Be responsible for stocks and control of wastage, in according to company standards.
- Assist in maintaining and improving upon budgeted food cost
- Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
- Maintain good working relationships with your own colleagues and all other departments.
