**Job Summary**

A helper cook is responsible for the preparation of ingredients and stations used in the cooking process, as well as maintaining the kitchen and ensuring it is clean and sanitized
- Assist the cook in preparing ingredients and recipes
- Clean cooking equipment and utensils
- Monitor cooking temperatures and times
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Plate and garnish dishes before they are served
- Stock kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Receive and store deliveries of food and supplies
- Communicate with the cook and other kitchen staff
- Handle basic kitchen tasks, such as chopping vegetables and making sauces
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

**Qualifications**
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
