About the Opportunity: At Jacobs, we push the limits of what’s possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are playing a key role on one of the most iconic giga projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, arguably one of the largest projects in the world. As a Enterprise Architect you will cover strategy to execution, in particular lead across strategy to portfolio, supporting requirement to deployment. Responsibilities include: - Working collaboratively with leadership, stakeholders and the business to understand, collate and document strategic requirements and lead the effort ensuring sound portfolios of work but also addressing emerging demands - Manage and deliver the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture and solution concepts based on industry dynamics and business unit and digital strategy. - Work closely with other EAs, Solution Architects and Technical Architects - Act as EA practice lead - establishing common standards and frameworks - Promotes the business value of EA as an enabler of strategy formulation, and as support for technology innovation, which drives our clients top and bottom lines and contributes to Jacobs goals - Executes the plan for the enterprise architecture based on business and digital strategy and requirements - Support the development of the enterprise architecture practice support other EA’s and SA’s. - Plans and co-ordinate work with other domain architects that works with EA and non-EA related disciplines to deliver the goals, objectives and outcomes of the organization - Builds and contributes to the architecture libraries of capabilities, skills and tech inventory; supporting a plan to close the skills gap. Finds the balance between technical, behavioral, and business and operating model skills - Participates and contributes to the EA practice, governance and continuous improvement and ongoing refinement activities - Supports the Head of EA practice build and maintain relationships with other business units and clients, orchestration of the delivery of critical digital projects, contributes to the overall delivery of the digital portfolio **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Knowledge and experience working with enterprise business architecture and design in complex settings - TOGAF 9, Zachman and SABSA - Systems Thinking - hard, soft and critical e.g. Viable Systems Model, Soft Systems Methodology - Cybersecurity Architecture and Tools - Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop strategic goals, prioritize, allocate resources, and establish performance measurement for tracking results. - Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level. - Understanding of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments. - Balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals. - Translate business needs into EA requirements and practices - Rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies. - Capable and comfortable with balancing time between foundational EA and vanguard EA efforts concerned with business and operating model design, technology innovation, speed, agility and flexibility to achieve a unified and flexible EA that meets the organization’s needs.
