**Basic Function**:
Perform housekeeping inspection and do periodic rounds to correct the deficiencies and make recommendations to improve the work quality.
Provide supervision of facilities areas such as the Inpatient & Outpatient Areas, Cancer Care Center, Central Sterile Supplies, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Intensive Care Units, Operating Rooms, Laboratories and Medical Waste Treatment Areas throughout All JHAH Centers
Report deficiencies and take correction actions
Coordinate the deficiencies correction in coordinate with contractor project work director and maintenance.
**Scope**:
Conduct overall environmental duties to make sure the JHAH facilities are hygienically clean and presentable to the public.
The work is in Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, Facility Support Services Department /Environmental Support Services Division in Dhahran and Districts (Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, Al-Hasa and Udhailiyah). The work is on rotating shifts from 7:00 to 23:00 and to be assigned to meet operational needs as Environmental Services Division Supervisor directions.
**Principal Contacts**:
It is required to contact on daily basis with the Contractor Personnel and Environmental Services Division Supervisor. Ongoing with JHAH managers.
Occasional public and community contact through communicating policy changes, revisions, and/or introduction of new work rules.
**Principal Duties**:
Roles include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate with IRC group to inspect and evaluate the physical conditions of the inpatient vacant rooms and it’s availability to accommodate the next patient. The target is to comply with safety, health and sanitation regulations.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the assigned areas, initiate action for necessary maintenance repairs and follow-up until completion of the requested work in coordination with Maintenance Department.
- Assure that the facilities were inspected according to the Quality Assurance Program guidelines and the deficiencies were noted/reported and corrected in coordination with the other Environmental Coordinators and Contractor Work Director.
- Review and submit the weekly housekeeping supplies request and ensures that it is utilized in an appropriate and safe manner
- Inspect landscaping areas at medical facilities and gardening projects surrounding medical facilities and report deficiencies to the designated department.
- Inspect the recycling programs throughout medical facilities. Ensure that recycling bins/containers are available in sufficient numbers, assigned staff are trained and recycling machine/equipment are operating in good condition.
- Provide logistic and technical support such as requesting gate access, issuing material gate pass, requesting security permission or any other authorized action which would help the Environmental Coordinators or Contractor Personal to perform job related tasks.
- Coordinate the operation of the hydraulic man-lift machine for cleaning and other job related purposes.
- Attend, perform and complete all work location related trainings and drills.
- Monitor, review and evaluate the medical waste disposal program in JHAH facilities
- Preform and conduct Airborne Infection Isolation Room (AIIR) negative pressure test at Dhahran Health Center & districts.
- Conduct routine inspection of contractor’s provided machinery, review the technical reports and assess the maintenance efficiency to ensure contractor compliance of applicable terms and conditions of the contract.
- Conduct routine inspection of contractor’s accommodations, review the deficiencies reports and follow up with corrective actions to ensure contractor compliance of applicable terms and conditions of the contract.
- Act as contract administrator by reviewing manpower and machinery deployment in accordance with the contract, reviewing the monthly manpower time sheet and verifying the monthly payments/deductions made during the operation calendar to ensure it compliance of applicable terms and conditions of the contract.
- Conduct yearly performance evaluation for all contractor staff in coordination with the contractor Project Work Direct and Division Supervisor.
**Education**:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health/Science or Public Health or equivalent.
**Experience**:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare facilities operation and inspection or related field.
**Certifications/Other requirements as applicable**:
- Very good English.
- Ability to read and write reports.
- Hold recognized job related certificate such as NEBOSH, OSHA, NFPA or FMP
