Medical Manager

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- As a customer-facing medical function, the Medical Manager utilizes the medical resources and expertise to develop and enhance KOL management across Saudi Arabia. He/she should provide the best use of information, research results and medical updates to customers and internal stakeholders to ensure Pfizer activities are well-supported by the substantiated scientific evidence. The Medical Manager reports directly to the Senior Medical Manager, Vaccines.
- Medical Manager is responsible for KOL management related to his/her therapeutic speciality (Vaccines) and is the medical partner for KOLs across the markets, using medical resources and capabilities to develop long-term partnerships with individual HCPs, medical universities and institutes aiming to direct Pfizer resources and initiatives for the best well-being of patients and treatment outcomes.
- Medical Manager provides a bridge between clinical research, the marketing and sales department, and the remaining departments within the organization. He/she gives explicitly an authoritative opinion and answers medically based questions concerning medical, legal and regulatory matters.
- He/she will utilize knowledge and skills to design and execute educational programs to create professional awareness about relevant disease areas.
- The Medical manager is also responsible for developing and communicating customer insights based on medical-to-medical interactions with HCPs in the respective markets.
- Develop and implement strategic medical directions within key therapeutic areas.
- Drive & develop the Medical Programs aligned with the company Strategies.
- Design, develop and execute Medical Awareness & Educational programs (CME) to maximize HCP awareness.
- Prepare and compile medical resources / Products’ Scientific data/Clinical articles/Publications /Studies/Journals/Slide-kits and Presentations to be used according to local SOPs.
- Identify Disease areas/Customers’ Medical needs and exchange inputs.
- KOL Management: Participate and develop Key Opinion Leader’s (KOLs) & Health Authorities' partnership programs.
- Design and execute Advisory Boards for respective therapeutic areas.
- Provide the necessary medical support to Clinical Research, MI, PR departments.
- Coordinate and utilize specialist knowledge with colleagues in formulating and implementing medical strategy.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and local regulations in all promotional activities and materials. Ensure Adherence to compliance/company procedures & policies (SOPs)
- Medical Manager reviews and approves Pfizer meetings, materials and grants based on merits and scientific content. He/she provides the needed FCPA reviews and supports the teams with necessary advice and training.
- Oversee research grants projects and local publications.

REQUIRED SKILL SET
- Medical background (University degree in Medicine or Pharmacy)
- 2-3 years Medical Affairs experience is required
- Vaccines experience is a plus
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Excellent presentation skills
- High Communication and Cross-functional Skills
- Keep up to date with market trends and new developments utilizing information or business improvement
- Ability to both provide and receive constructive feedback
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and external customers
- Work as part of a team to reach common goals
- Ability to form a balanced opinion taking into account a wide range of information
