**Project Overview**:
Bechtel and its consortium partners are excited to begin hiring the completion teams which will finalize the monumental Riyadh Metro Project (RMP), currently estimated at 94% complete. The BACS consortium, which includes Almabani General Contractors, Consolidated Contractors Company, and Siemens, is responsible for the design, construction, train cars, and signaling as well as electrification and integration of the new lines to the rest of the system. Riyadh’s population of nearly 6 million is forecast to increase to 8 million by 2030. The new metro system will meet the demands of the growing population while reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality.

**Position Summary**:
**The Track Field Engineer provides technical support to construction contractors and direct hire construction crews working on the Track system. They will ensure that work is carried out safely, on time, to specification and as per contract requirements. They report to an Area Field Engineer or Construction Manager and interact with construction managers/supervision and subcontractor’s personnel on site.**:

**Typical Responsibilities**:
- Ensures a Zero Incident Philosophy is implemented and adhered to by workers and others in the operational area
- Assists construction superintendents / contractor field supervision in planning construction methods and procedures.
- Interprets track design engineering drawings and prepares construction working drawings for the use of Contractors as required
- Coordinates and resolves technical issues on-site and through office engineering team as required
- Prepares field sketches for revisions and additions, “as built” drawings.
- Reviews design drawings, related vendor drawings and installation instructions and identify potential interface issues with commodities.
- Tracks progress of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database programs as required.
- Assists in coordination of Contractor material deliveries, storage of materials, expediting and engineering reports related to the schedule.
- Prepares projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment requirements.
- Prepares field change notices/requests, extra work orders and back charge notices.
- Maintains records of costs and quantity information, evaluates data and prepares applicable reports as requested by project management utilizing established, standardized automation tools.
- Monitors the activities of contractors to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Provides input to constructability and lessons learned
**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**:
- Technical knowledge of track alignment and various track support systems in a metro environment
- Working knowledge of major industry or regulatory standards and installation practices for track installation and management post installation
- Strong leadership skills and ability to influence external stakeholders
- Effective communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents
- Experience of construction work method statements and risk assessments
- Experience of working in a live operational environment
- Fluency in both English and Arabic
**Grade 25**:
- Typically requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5-7 years of relevant experience or 9-11 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of solutions or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Requires moderate supervision with some latitude for judgement
**Grade 26**:
- Typically requires bachelor’s or master’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience of leading teams
- Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
- Requires mínimal supervision with latitude for judgement
