**Your new role, what's involved?**
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure civil works are executed as per approved designs, specifications, and safety standards.
- Monitor the construction of runways, taxiways, aprons, pavements, foundations, drainage systems, and structural elements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international building codes, project standards, and airport regulations.
- Identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations, document findings, and report them to the Resident Engineer.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues and maintain construction quality.
- Review method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for civil-related works.
- Verify compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and report any unsafe practices.
- Assist in the preparation of inspection reports, punch lists, and progress updates.
- Witness testing procedures for materials, soil compaction, concrete pouring, and pavement construction.
- Support the handover and commissioning process by ensuring all civil works meet the required quality benchmarks.

**We'd love to hear from you if you have**:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in civil construction inspection, preferably in airport, infrastructure, or transportation projects.
- Strong knowledge of airport pavement construction, drainage systems, earthworks, and structural elements.
- Familiarity with civil engineering codes and standards (ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, BS, FAA, ICAO).
- Experience in working with FIDIC contracts and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and inspection reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Prior experience working with engineering consultancy firms or major contractors is preferred.
