The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for undertaking mechanical engineering activities related to Surface Pressure Control (SPC) products and technology.
As Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and Project Engineering for API 6A Products - Surface Wellheads and Trees.
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering for all products.
- Applies existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to design new products, systems or processes. Viewed internally and externally as a specialist in the discipline.
- Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project.
- Presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders (EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams.
- Communicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizations.
- Mentor and develop early career technical talent.
**Fuel your passion**
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Have a minimum of 6 years of experience Designing Subsea and Surface Equipment.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Have Creo and Mathcad proficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Product testing and qualification experience (including API 6A PR2F)
- Product support, services, or field services experience.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
