The opportunity

Project: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-caliber and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Reviewing design submissions from the lead design consultant and undertaking a comprehensive design review of electrical distribution system designs, including specifying all components of low and medium-voltage electrical equipment.
- Following up and ensuring that the installation, inspection, and testing of all the electrical services and work implemented meets the specifications and the client's requirements.
- Providing and communicating technical advice to the client team and MC contractor regarding electrical installation and maintenance of MEP systems.
- Undertaking coordination activities in assisting with monitoring progress, distributing, and reviewing of all deliverables, programming and executing all meetings and workshops, and reporting on any coordination issues that may be affecting the progress and development of the design and construction across all relevant MEP disciplines.
- Undertaking an in-depth analysis of electrical engineering problems and formulating solutions.
- Identifying problems in the electrical design, planning, managing, and delivering multiple MEP projects.
- Planning, organizing the assessment, and evaluating the work of consultants, contractors, and others.
- Supporting and advising regarding value engineering processes as required and working closely with the delivery partner and the cost and commercial management consultant(s) to carry out value engineering exercises and workshops, including supporting the development cost.
- Managing all MEP works including a technical overview, procurement, site execution, T&C plus handover.
- Managing regular site meetings and feedback sessions involving contractors, consultants, and client teams.
- Reviewing, assessing, and providing positive feedback and improvement opportunities for all site execution works.
- Working with the contractor on the development of optimal logistics, execution, process, and productivity.
- Overseeing the preparation of daily reports and site inspections by the assistant package managers.
- Overseeing the assistant package managers as they engage with consultants and contractors during the review of submittal documents and site queries.

About you

You will have a degree qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering. You have major project experience in MEP with a positive and proactive attitude to site management, reporting, quality inspections, site observations, productivity enhancements, and work methodologies. You have a working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, and Construction. You must be proficient in the following Electrical engineering design fundamentals: Lighting, power distribution, Earthing and Lightning Protection, containment system, and lighting control systems.

You are digitally savvy and can build lasting client relationships and provide support to strong, motivated teams. You have previous working experience on construction projects and are hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
