Description

The Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking an experienced and qualified expert to fill a resident Public Financial Management (PFM) advisor position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The advisor will report to the Macro-Fiscal Policy Deputyship (MFPD) at Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia and provide capacity development support in a range of PFM areas. The position requires strong technical PFM and macro-fiscal skills, including in applied macroeconomics, particularly in the following areas:
- macroeconomic and fiscal analysis and forecasting techniques;- budget formulation and preparation within medium-term budgetary and fiscal frameworks;- budget documentation and fiscal reporting (e.g., GFSM2014)- Fiscal and debt sustainability analysis.- Fiscal risk management, with a focus on analysis of assets and liabilities in the public sector balance sheet.

The advisor is expected to provide PFM capacity building through hands-on training, workshops, and seminars; preparation of technical manuals, coordinating and supporting complementary activities by short-term PFM experts;

**Qualifications**:
Qualified applicants who are not selected for this position may be considered for resident advisor positions in other regions or for short-term technical assistance assignments.
