Wood is recruiting Mechanical Sectional Lead for OMPP unit in Saudi Arabia Eastern Region in AlKhobar office.
- Must have Design experience in Offshore Oil and Gas production facilities.
- Able to prepare independently equipment design and calculations without vendor support for basic static equipment.
- Able to do Rotating Equipment basic selection through Vendors online selection tools.
- Preparation of Technical specs, datasheets, equipment lists and Bid tabs.
- Must have Design experience in Offshore Oil and Gas production facilities.
- Serve as the Mechanical Discipline Lead on projects: plan, manage, and coordinate the mechanical engineering activities on large and/or technically complex projects and assignments.
- Lead a project team of mechanical engineers and designers including coordination of design work and technical input and coordination across project wide, multi-discipline design to ensure cost effective, efficient, safe, and timely completion.
- Responsible for static and rotating equipment and package equipment
- Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
- Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
- Serve as an advisor and mentor to other technical personnel and young Saudi Engineers on design, processes, engineering methods, and interpretation of codes and standards.
- Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
- Planning and completion of work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
- Interfaces, coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
- Delegation and distribution work as well as manage billability of team.
- Coordinates with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensure that other disciplines input are incorporated.
- Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
- Manage deliverables submission including, specifications, data sheets, equipment lists, RFQ/RFP’s with required quality checks and proper management of record.
- Technical report writing and preparation of presentations.
- Full knowledge of International and Saudi Aramco standards.
- Technical bid evaluation, Vendor document review and subcontract scope management.
- Generating technical decision records and project decision records as related to Mechanical engineering.
- Mechanical Engineers with 15+ years experiences in Mechanical equipment
