The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning/scheduling activities with mínimal or no supervisory oversight.

They also manage various schedules to ensure that work is completed as scheduled and to identify schedule-associated, Estimation, cost trends for management attention and action. Responsible to support development of the monthly reports and to perform schedule assessments as requested.

Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities:
1. Manage the planning & scheduling parts of assigned projects and the overall program.

2. Assist in preparation of program master schedule and performs critical path analysis.

3. Integrate project budget and schedule to support reporting.

4. Participate in claims analysis and negotiations.

5. Prepare schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts and studies.

6. Develops, owns and implement project control procedures in conjunction with supporting project ancillary functions.

7. Prepares project plan framework and detailed manpower utilization plan framework.

8. Takes a lead in preparing schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules

9. Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.

10. Reviews and assesses the work sequences with the total project plan.

11. Analyze drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity.

12. analyzing plans, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs

13. researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

14. analyzing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company’s productivity rates)

15. Monitoring and updating cost estimates for projects to ensure that costs are within expected ranges

16. Assist in developing and monitoring Preventive Actions and Recovery Pans to support project delivery on time.

17. Supports project management in accomplishing project status review and performance control.

18. Coordinate, supervise and check the work of those scheduling engineers assigned to projects under his supervision.

19. Undertake any other related ad-hoc duties as reasonably required.

20. Integrates Constriction and technical Departments judgments into Schedules and Controls.
