**Job Title**: Senior Chromatography Chemist
**Department**: Analytical Chemistry / Laboratory
**Location**: Khobar, Saudi Arabia

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Chromatographic Analysis**: Perform routine and advanced chromatographic analyses (GC, LC-MS, etc.) on raw materials, intermediates, and final products to determine purity, content, and other chemical properties.
- **Method Development & Optimization**: Develop, optimize, and validate new chromatographic methods tailored to Environmental& quality control needs.
- **Instrument Operation & Maintenance**: Operate and maintain chromatography instruments, ensuring proper calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
- **Data Interpretation**: Analyze chromatographic data, including integration, peak identification, and quantification, and prepare comprehensive reports summarizing results and findings.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all analytical activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations (US-EPA, NCEC) and internal quality standards. Contribute to regulatory filings and audits.
- **Troubleshooting & Problem Solving**: Resolve complex technical issues related to chromatography systems, data interpretation, or analysis.
- **Quality Assurance**: Monitor data quality, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring adherence to protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- **Mentorship & Training**: Provide mentorship and training to junior chemists and laboratory staff, fostering skill development and ensuring best practices in chromatography techniques.
- **Project Collaboration**: Work closely with quality control teams to support project goals, including method transfers and analytical troubleshooting.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, data, and reports according to company and regulatory requirements.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and chromatography methodologies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- **Experience**: At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in chromatography, with expertise in GC, GS-MS or similar techniques in an industrial or research environment.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong knowledge of chromatographic systems, including GC, and associated detection techniques (P&T,FID, PID, MS, etc.).
- **Instrument Proficiency**: Experience with a wide range of chromatography equipment (e.g., Agilent, Perkin Elmer, Thermo, Shimadzu) and software (e.g., ChemStation, Empower, Chromeleon).
- **Problem Solving**: Excellent troubleshooting skills for chromatographic systems and data-related issues.
- **Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical data and reports clearly.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of precision and attention to detail in data collection, interpretation, and reporting.
- **Leadership**: Ability to lead projects, train and guide junior staff, and contribute to team objectives.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**: Familiarity with Environmental regulations and Standards (e.g., US-EPA, Local, ) and standards for chromatographic testing and documentation.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with method validation and transfer in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with related techniques such as GC/ GC-MS.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting software.
- Knowledge of specialized chromatography techniques (e.g., ion-exchange, size-exclusion).
- Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
