**Job Summary**:

- Pump Test Engineer
- Responsible for managing and maintaining day to day activities in Testing department.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:

- Planning, designing, and execution of performance, MRT and NPSH test of different pump models.
- Establish execution plans and lead the team to complete the job and or/project(s) with better utilization and efficiency.
- Communication and interaction with other concerned departments/ customers/ third party inspectors to ensure proper and effective flow of information with regards to test execution.
- Develop manufacturing tools, systems, and processes to minimize waste, improve quality, and enhance throughput time.
- Participate in and coordinate problem solving activities at the plant floor level.
- Assist in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.
- Monitor and demonstrate adherence to recommended safety procedures and good housekeeping.
- Recommend changes to workstations, labor, and layouts to reduce waste and improve workflow.
- Work alongside Core team, manufacturing engineering team, engineering team to establish lean workstation set-up including standardized work at world class levels.
- Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of learning opportunities.

**Preferred Experience and Skills**:

- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Industrial pumps, preferably in Middle East & Gulf Region.
- High school diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
- Sound knowledge of pump drives and controllers, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, controller wiring, pump alignment, suction and discharge line mechanical issues, all types of controller's.
- Motor wiring, motor minor servicing/ pump performance testing, Calibration etc.
- Capable of handling an emergency call i.e system failure or heavy leakage.
- Capable of interacting with client professionally.
- Ability to read system design drawings and diagrams.
- Must have the knowledge of various pumps and motors.
- Should be able to design test setups for Horizontal and Vertical pumps.
- Capability to troubleshoot pumps, for issues related to performance, vibrations, high temperature etc.
- Knowledge and hands on experience with pump spare parts like mechanical seal & Seal systems, bearing, gland packing, different types of impeller & casing designs and other worn parts.
- Conversant knowledge in various types of motor, starter panels, valves, heat exchangers and other accessories used in conjunction with pumps and pumping systems.
- Knowledge of international/ local standard like API, ANSI, ASME, Aramco standards etc.
- English Fluent.

- Creative problem-solving skills.
