Are you a western trained anaesthetist specialising in pain management looking for an opportunity to work in the Middle East ? This role with a fast growing and well established private medical healthcare organisation presents one of the best employment opportunities in the Middle East.

The anaesthetist consultant works with a team of consultants, specialists (sub consultant grade physicians) and residents to provide expert anaesthesia services to in patients and out patients and expert opinion on anaesthesia and pain management to physicians in other specialties.

You will provide pain management services to in patients and out patients and will participate in audit and service development as well as continuing medical education events required to maintain professional registration.

**Role Duties**
- Pre - operative assessment of patients listed for surgical and interventional procedures
- pain management clinics
- post operative management of pain
- Consultation with other specialist physicians
- Supervise specialist physicians
- Maintain clear patient records
- Working hours are 48 per week and 6 day working week is normal.
- Weekends in Saudi Arabia are Friday and Saturday at the present time.
- Employment contracts are for 2 years and renewable by mutual consent.

Located in Riyadh, the hospital is a newly built 25 story 400 bed facility with 24/7 emergency department, medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, family medicine, anaesthesia, ENT, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, radiology and pathology services.

**Essential Requirements**
- a board certification / Specialist accreditation in anaesthesia from USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Western Europe.
- fellowship in pain management
- 3-5 years minimum attending / consultant experience after specialist accreditation
- Fluent English communication, Arabic desirable.
- Valid unrestricted licence in country of current practice
- A DataFlow Report will be needed before starting work (primary source verification of qualifications, professional registration and clinical experience).

**Remuneration**
- Monthly salary paid in local currency (SAR) tax free and freely convertible to other currencies in the range of SAR 55000-80000 per month DOE
