Innovation & Value Engineering Manager

The Role

**The opportunity**: Project: This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing and implementing across the delivery teams value engineering initiatives to streamline design, construction, and supply chain processes. - Collaborating and coordinating with engineering, design, and construction teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions for asset design and construction and improve overall project value. - Analyzing existing designs and construction processes to identify areas for improvement. - Developing best practice solutions and lessons learned. - Providing direction and expertise to value engineering activities across XCS and XDS for specific strategic requirements. - Providing guidance and training to XCS and XDS teams on value engineering best practices and techniques. - Working cross-functionally to achieve optimal value management and engineering and innovation results, e.g., work with procurement and supply chain teams to identify cost-effective materials and suppliers that are also resource-efficient. - Conduct regular reviews of projects to assess the effectiveness of value engineering strategies and identify areas for improvement. - Participating in the review of project designs and construction plans to ensure that they meet quality and value standards. - Monitoring project progress to ensure that value engineering initiatives are being implemented effectively. - Preparing reports and presentations to communicate project value engineering strategies and results. - Maintaining awareness or seeking opportunities to implement systems and technologies relative to the function. - Coordinating activities with numerous functions across XCS and QIC corporate, along with XDS. - Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**Requirements**:

- You have a bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field. - A related MSc degree is desirable, you have an experience in value engineering, construction management, or a related field, including managing teams of significant size and technical support personnel. - Proven track record of developing and implementing value engineering strategies that promote innovation and efficiency. - You can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - You should be accustomed to monitoring industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for innovation. - Excellent communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal, and public speaking skills are desired. - Should be goal-oriented and results-driven with a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations required. - Capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management. - This includes effective problem-solving and exercising excellent judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues. - You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships, and lead strong, motivated teams. - You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
