Chief Accountant

**Summary**:
As the Chief Accountant, you will be the head of the accounting department, overseeing all accounting activities for the group company across its regional branches. You will ensure accuracy in financial documents and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will be responsible for consolidating accounts and providing leadership and direction to the accounting team.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations.
- Ensure the consolidation of financial reports for the group company accurately reflects the company’s financial status.
- Coordinate with external auditors in the auditing process and ensure that all audit-related issues are resolved promptly.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, analyzing variances, and providing recommendations for financial improvement.
- Develop and implement internal accounting policies and controls to ensure the integrity of all financial transactions.
- Monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee the proper filing of all required tax returns and ensure timely payment of all taxes in each region where the company operates.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed.
- Manage the relationship with banks and other financial institutions.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the accounting team.
- Conduct performance appraisals, promote professional development, and ensure the accounting team is aligned with the company’s goals.
- Continually review and improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement new accounting systems and software as needed for better financial management.
- Liaison with regional financial controllers to ensure standard accounting practices across all branches.
- Ensure that all intercompany transactions are recorded properly and reconciliations are performed regularly.
- Communicate financial results and issues to senior management effectively.
- Work with department heads to provide financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance, Master’s degree and CA preferred.
- Extensive experience in accounting, preferably in the building materials, manufacturing, or industrial sector.
- Proficient in ERP systems and Excel.
- Strong understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Minimum ten years experience in relevant position.

**Salary**: From ﷼4,000.00 per month
