We are now hiring a Mechanical Engineer to carry out the mechanical engineering design and design review tasks for all types of projects from conceptual design stage all the way to the tender stage.

In this role, you will generate and review the mechanical engineering design deliverables such as HVAC s ystems, Plumbing systems, and Fire Protection systems for code compliance, interdisciplinary integration and constructability aspects.

Additionally, you will be responsible to interact and coordinate projects with design, construction, planning, real estate, and other related discipline leads. You may be asked to review mechanical engineering drawings and documents, project specifications, participate in project cost estimates, as well as to carry out estimations of engineering efforts in terms of hours and time for the project proposals Parsons is bidding for.

You may also attend mechanical engineering discussions in both design projects related aspects as well as construction meetings for running projects on site.

In addition to that, you will need to have the knowledge in w orking in a BIM environment, using Revit MEP in modelling of mechanical works, understanding of BIM collaboration between different disciplines, working with common data environments (Projectwise or BIM 360), and the ability to use Navisworks for the coordination and clash detection purposes.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of related mechanical engineering oversight experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution required
- Proven experience in the field of design and design review of the mechanical systems for the different types of buildings such as residential, commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities.
- Proficient in the design and design review of mechanical engineering works with reference to codes compliance and best engineering practices and alignment of budgets.
- Knowledge of construction works / inspections is also required along with carrying out site visits when needed for data collection and the preparation of site validation reports.
