**DUTIES **AND** **RESPONSIBILITIES**

Review HVAC Scope of Work (SOW), drawings and executing the construction and maintenance activities in line with the project specification and standards;
Responsible to monitor and provide expertise advise on all HVAC engineering deliverables such as design basis, specifications, data sheets, HVAC air flow diagram, HVAC/Plumbing schematic diagram, HVAC D&ID, HVAC/Plumbing single line diagrams, Plumbing P&ID and Bill of Quantities (BOQ), etc.;
Undertake technical evaluations of vendor offers for the more complex items to ensure material requisition technical details are satisfied;
Provide reports on project progress against the approved plans and budgets, bringing to notice potential problem or delays and recommends solutions;
Prepare man-hour estimates for engineering deliverables at the estimation stage, for consideration in the development of the final bid;
Provide input for the development of the Planning Package;
Undertake site visits and surveys as required, to gather information and resolve project related issues;
Train entry level engineers;
**QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or higher qualification in mechanical or related discipline from a reputable college or university;
Minimum of 15 years’ proven work experience;
Experience in delivering design of major infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the wider MENA region;
**PHYSICAL AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS**

Must be in good health, physically fit & active;
Must have good analytical skills, interpersonal skills and team-working skills;
Must have well-developed planning and organizing skills;
Strong experience and technical background for HVAC design, familiar with design procedure and cooperation with other disciplines;
Rich experience of detailed HVAC engineering calculation i.e. Heating & Cooling load, Air duct & air flow, the static pressure of Fans, system balance, etc.;
Rich experience of air conditioner air handling units, fans, humidifier & dehumidifier, passive cooling unit, pump, chillers and duct heater, etc.;
Excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications;
Excellent knowledge of HVAC engineering software;
