POSITION OVERVIEW:
You will assist with the design management of the wet and dry utilities networks and facilities across three districts and associated sub-packages including public realm, iconic and high-rise buildings. You will attend design meetings, review progress submissions and assist with coordination between design consultants and the clients project team reporting to the Parsons Senior MEP Design Manager.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and coordinates complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.

Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.

Reviews engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.

Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.

Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.

Reviews specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

Provides technical guidance.

May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.

Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Supervision Received - Higher-level Engineers, Supervising Engineer, Project Engineer;
Discipline Engineering Manager
Supervision Given - Lower-level Engineers (technical guidance only)
Internal Contacts - All employees on project
External Contacts - Suppliers; Clients

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and typically 8+ years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration may be required.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
