Join Qiddiya Investment Company as the Director of Events & Tradeshows, a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, planning, and executing high-impact events and tradeshows that elevate our brand presence in the entertainment industry. In this position, you will lead a dynamic team, driving innovative event strategies that align with our corporate objectives while showcasing Qiddiya’s unique offerings.
Your expertise will shape our engagement with stakeholders, partners, and consumers, ensuring that all events resonate with our mission of transforming the entertainment landscape in Saudi Arabia.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Role & Responsibilities**:
- **Strategy & planning**: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for tradeshows and events including exhibition selection and assessment that effectively showcase the division's portfolio, enhancing brand visibility and driving sales, leasing and partnership opportunities for residential, offices, retail, hospitality and social (schools/healthcare).
- **Concepts and development**: Collaborate closely with internal teams and external agencies to facilitate the conceptualization and development of tradeshow and events, ensuring alignment with overarching strategy and objectives. Additionally, manage proposals, budgets, procurement and stakeholder reviews and approvals.
- **Trade show and event execution**: Responsible for executing events, activations and roadshows including venue selection and build, briefings and rehearsals, stakeholder management, content, models, activations, catering, speaking engagements, support in
- **PR and media management**. Oversee logistics and compliance during exhibitions, liaising with organizers, supervising stand installation, branding and setup
- **Performance Evaluation**: Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to assess the success of tradeshows and events against predefined metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for future enhancement
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Collaborate closely with Senior Director - Development Communications and the City & Masterplan team and the asset marketing teams to understand their specific needs and objectives, providing tailored support and resources to maximize the impact of asset-specific trade shows.
- **Industry Engagement**: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the real estate sector, leveraging insights to innovate event strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in event management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on large-scale events and tradeshows.
- Proven track record of successfully managing end-to-end event planning and execution of events in the property industry and ideally in the GCC.
- Ability to develop and deliver an events strategy which meets business objectives and delivers ROI, managing the end-to-end process from conception to post event analysis.
- Strong budget management skills with an ability to optimize resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in measuring event ROI and success metrics.
