Clinical Coder

We are looking for a **Clinical Coder **to be responsible for reviewing and analyzing medical case records in order to abstract relevant data from patient medical records and ensuring appropriate codes are assigned in accordance with the clinical coding system. Ensure billing integrity and analytical support. Working closely with quality, finance, revenue cycle departments to resolve coding/billing issues. Investigating and resolving problems, complaints and incidents occurring within the coding section.

**Responsibilities**:

- Managing integrity of coding system
- Allocating the appropriate codes and assigns the codes for completing coding summary of the medical records, including CPT
- Ensuring accurate coding and sequencing as specified by established coding principles and guidelines
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and complete clinical data for direct activity reporting, quality initiatives, billing, reimbursement, utilization and patient information systems
- Reviewing for document deficiencies and communicates policies and guidelines to physicians to improve documentation; including direct interaction with the relevant clinicians
- Investigating and resolving problems, complaints and incidents occurring within the coding unit
- Validating reported and encoded information with the most accurate information
- Creating reports on unbilled records due to documentation and registration errors

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Dentistry, or Laboratories
- Preferebly a doctor
- 2-3 years of experience in clinical coding information systems
- Proficiency in ICD10, CPT coding for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, observations, emergency department visits, and ancillary services
- Coder Certificate from Saudi Health Consul (SHC)
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
