Role Purpose

What this job involves
Support the PMC SPM /Project Director in delivering the project to the budget, schedule and quality serving as the main point of contact for all site related construction matters.
Accountable for the overall successful delivery of the construction package including scope, schedule, safety and quality.
Be aware of project budgets and ensure works undertaken are in compliance with the various Contractual obligations. Ensure changes and variations are appropriately planned and managed to minimize cost increase.
Identify and report areas of Contractor non-compliance / areas of unsatisfactory performance and drive performance improvement opportunities to ensure value for money project delivery.
Coordinate the various Contractors to ensure that all work is carried out safely and efficiently, in line with the strategic Construction Management plans, policies and procedures.
Manage the Contractors by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback, advice and direction to ensure the contractor meets their contractual, legal, moral and other established obligations.
Ensure all works on site are adequately and safely planned, performed, directed and supervised by the contractor and sub-contractors. Make sure that work is executed as per drawings, specifications, plans and other contractual requirements.
Ensure that all the materials used and that work executed is in line with the contract requirements.
Conduct daily site visits and report to the contractor about issues concerning work execution to fix them.
Ensure that all safety and environmental planning is in place and that necessary measures are taken in order to avoid any accidents or incidents.
Proactively identifies critical issues related to progress and manage the resolution of any blocks working with key stakeholders.
Interface with key staff from the PMC/Client team and contractors.
Manage and report on the performance of the supervision role and contractors.
Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team in close coordination with the PMC core team and other specialists.
Disseminate information, submissions and documents to relevant departments.
Ensure that the PMC construction management team resources are allocated correctly and utilised for the best practice outcome.
Assist on site with managing planning, procurement and phasing of the works.
Ensure audits of contractor and supervision consultants are undertaken.

Desired skills and experience for this
Degree Qualification is preferred but not essential.
Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.
Experience in design & construction of shopping malls including infrastructure in the region.
Experience in managing on site construction in the region.
Major international project experience is essential.
Excellent written and verbal skills with a fluent proficiency in English.
International safety qualification / recognition an advantage but not essential.
