**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient network solutions. This includes planning, configuring, and optimizing Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks.
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of switching and routing protocols, including VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and STP. Implement best practices to ensure network stability and redundancy.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime. Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques and network monitoring tools to maintain optimal network performance.
- Implement security measures such as firewall rules, access control lists, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard the network infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.
- Collaborate effectively with other IT professionals, including system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of network and system components.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements in network infrastructure.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and administration.
- Expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 network switching and routing.
- Proficiency in network protocols and technologies such as VLANs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, and more.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Knowledge and expertise regarding Cisco.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) a plus.
