Position Summary

The IT Infrastructure lead is responsible for managing the operation, maintenance, and projects related to IT Infrastructure systems including, but not limited to: network, computing, security, IP telephony, IPTV. The objective is to ensure high availability and reliability of IT infrastructure to ensure optimum IT services delivery to KAPSARC end-users.

Major Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve IT infrastructure key performance indicators (KPI) to meet KAPSARC and IT strategic objectives.
- Manage the performance of IT infrastructure team members.
- IT Project Planning and Management for different types of IT Projects. Executive dashboarding, reporting and detailed planning.
- Ensure the implementation of IT Infrastructure process, procedures, and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain budget requirements for annual operational expenses.
- Develop business cases for any required capital projects and successfully lead the implementation of approved projects within approved scope, budget, and timeframe.
- Coach members of the team as needed, to optimize the efficiency of the project team.
- Achieve the project goals within designated project constraints.
- Manage the communication with different stakeholders including any required escalations to senior management.
- Take technical decision to help infrastructure team execute daily operational activities or properly escalate major decisions with alternative options and recommendations.
- Review and approve change requests affecting IT infrastructure components.
- Ensure and test the readiness of IT infrastructure disaster recovery plans to maintain business continuity objectives.
- Oversee datacenter operations (DCO) to effectively monitor, resolve, report, or escalate any operational issues or alerts.

Competencies
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components and ability to review operation plans, designs, and recommend required changes or improvements to enhance IT systems.
- Ability to manage a cross-functional team as well as on-site/off-site resource operating model.
- Ability to manage disruption of critical IT services with appropriate communication and resolution tactics.
- Ability to build excellent rapport with key business stakeholders and KAPSARC executive management.
- Ability to work with multiple vendors on technical and commercial scope.
- Ability to communicate IT services, proposals, or solutions to a technical or non-technical audience.
- Ability to manage multitude of IT technologies, tools, and systems with strong business and financial acumen.
- Ability to understand the client's operational needs and how they relate to what KAPSARC IT offers.
- Ability to manage in a high demand/volume work environment with changing priorities.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 9 years of experience with bachelor’s degree or 7 years with master’s degree in IT operations and infrastructure domain or in Information Technology-related field.
- At least 3 years in leadership role.
- Technical professional certifications in Network, Computing, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or other technical IT domains such as: CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, MCITP, CISSP.
- Professional Certification in IT Service and Quality Management Frameworks such as: ISO, ITIL, COBIT.
