**Major Responsibilities & Duties performed**: - Signaling and guiding the incoming scrap truck to the designated location for safe unloading of scrap. - Assist Inspector for checking the volume of the truck using measuring tape. - Segregation of oversize, unwanted material, nonmetallic, explosive items and closed containers, gas / hydraulic cylinders from incoming scrap supplies and shift it at designated locations before shift end. - Manual cleaning of leftover scrap from truck bottom after unloading of scrap if required. - Assist in cleaning of the basket loading areas and STC track area from loading point till charging bay. - Assist in cleaning of spilled scrap over the Scrap Transfer Car. - Assist in cleaning of entrapped scrap & impurities beneath STC weighing scale using compressed air. - Cleaning and washing of Scrap Handling Equipment during shutdown. - Report the problems related to Equipment & abnormality in scrap to the Inspector / FM immediately. - Can operate Equipment after obtaining proper training during emergency if asked by Shift Foreman. - Regular Housekeeping of the Yard and surroundings areas manually or using Brush Bobcat if trained. - Responsible for safety of Equipment / vehicle movement and coworkers. **Other Responsibilities**: - To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies. - To follow safety instructions related to their jobs. - To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff. - To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions. - To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities. - To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible. - To attend safety trainings planned for them. - Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
