Our client is a forward-looking maritime facility with a vision to become the ‘Shipyard of the Future’.

The facility is set to be one of the largest maritime facilities in the world, with the capacity to build various types of vessels, including very large crude carriers, offshore drilling rigs, and commercial ships. It will help shape the Saudi maritime industry as one of the largest, most advanced and sustainable maritime facilities in the MENA region, with global ambitions and reach.
**- Develop and maintain Project Procurement Plans and Schedules for all Projects
- Execute and manage Purchase Orders for the procurement of major/critical commodities, services, and complex procurements, with emphasis on improving supplier quality and lowering total cost of ownership for the program.
- For select commodities, develop and execute long-term strategy deployment, supplier cost modeling, supplier opportunity assessments, supplier financial analysis, negotiations, long-term contract establishment, continuous supplier performance improvement, and supplier relationship development
- Coordinate purchasing activities with internal partners to acquire products and services in a cost
effective and timely manner.
- Prepare and issue moderate to high complexity, value and risk purchase orders and complex agreements, and ensure all procurement actions are properly documented, reviewed and approved consistent with policy and procedure.
- Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
- Ensure communications regarding material status is being generated, presented and distributed to appropriate personnel
- Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team, ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and succeed in their roles
- Coordinates with Engineering on their deliverables towards project for drawings, purchase requisitions, MTOs etc.
- Regularly reviews the fulfilment by suppliers of all contractual requirements in regards to customs and duties with the support of the concerned function (taxation, expediting, Logistics etc.)
- Oversees claim management with the suppliers in coordination with Cost Control and procurement
- Responsible for reporting monthly progress, supplier claims and project cost summary to procurement management and into the project. Regularly updates suppliers cash out & project milestone recognition related to procurement

**Requirements**:

- ** 15 to 20 years **of experience in Buying/Procurement or any relevant experience in a similar role.
- ** Shipbuilding / Rig building / MRO/ Equivalent Industry experience is preferable.**:

- Vast experience in sourcing and in a leadership role related to project procurement.
- Previous experience as Project Manager / Tender Project Manager or Senior Purchasing Manager.
- Education: Preferably Master’s Degree in Business, or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Professional Certificates: Supply Chain certifications such as **MCIPS **or **CPSM.**:
