SECTION I: JOB PURPOSE

The role will be responsible for implementing ITFC’s credit administration and Operational Risk Management policies, by processing transactions tickets, monitoring compliance and reporting unresolved issues. This will include credit limits/amendment tickets validation in the system at the level of maker, feeding the operational risk management data for validation/approval by the checker, follow-up on running and pending issues with relevant departments/functions, monitoring credit utilization and ORM compliance and reporting. It will also play the role of a key-holder for safe custody of security documentation in the absence of the Senior Manager CAD & ORM or the Manager, CAD & ORM. The role is meant to operate as a dual and complementary to the role of both the Senior Manager CAD & ORM and the Manager CAD & ORM.

SECTION II: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities
- Credit Administration policies and procedures
- Check limit and amendment requests for all credit operations, perform the first leg of limit setting/amendments in the system before the final decision is taken by the Senior Manager, CAD & ORM
- Review financing agreements and security documentation for approved transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness for the purpose of execution and pinpoint any discrepancies
- Articulate requirements for security/collateral documentation and standard operating procedures for approved transactions and provide comments/feedback
- Perform the first step of collateral creation and link them with relevant limits to control utilization of facilities
- Act as the dual custodian to safeguard and archive security documentation for facilities in a manner consistent with the standard policies and procedures in the absence of the Senior Manager CAD & ORM or the Manager, CAD & ORM
- Prepare data required for the periodic revaluation of collaterals and, if needed, highlight discrepancies.
- Act as a dual signatory of safe custody register for securities/collaterals, holder of safe custody register in the absence of the Manager, CAD & ORM, and ensure timely update
- Monitor facilities on regular basis to ensure subsequent utilization is in adherence with the terms of approval. Liaise with Operations to ensure adherence and escalate concern areas to the Senior Manager, CAD & ORM.
- Follow-up on pending/deficient documentation vis-à-vis credit operations/transactions with Trade Finance, Operations and other relevant functions to ensure timely resolution
- Raise day-to-day system issues/bugs to DOE and follow-up for their resolution
- Take note and report policy breaches to the Senior Manager, CAD & ORM
- Record keeping and filing as required

Operational Risk Policies and Procedures
- Feed and populate risk management tools to monitor associated operational risks in a robust manner, such as: Risk Registers, Risk Control Self Assessments, Key Risk Indicators and Key Control Indicators
- Provide clarifications to standard queries and support the CAD & ORM Team to implement the recommendations on the ways and means to mitigate day-to-day operational risks, strengthen controls, and minimize recurrence of undesired incidents
- Support the CAD & ORM team in implementing standard operating procedures and controlling mechanisms to handle breaches in a timely manner
- Follow up on the operational risk management reports/ticklers and report back to the Senior Manager, CAD & ORM on compliance/deficiencies
- Provide necessary support and input to the Senior Manager, CAD & ORM for the monitoring of departments’ compliance with the approved operational risk policies and procedures throughout the corporation
- Record keeping and filing as required

SECTION IV: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor Degree in Trade, Banking or Financial Economics
- Master Degree with a specialization in Finance or relevant certification is a plus

Language Skills
- English is compulsory
- Arabic or French is preferable
