**Anesthesia Technician**

**_Job Summary:_**

Anesthesia Technician is a member of anaesthesia care team responsible for preparing anaesthesia location in order to provide safe anaesthesia care. Anaesthesia technician must ensure adequate supply of anaesthesia drugs and necessary equipment, assist anaesthetist throughout provision of anaesthesia care and perform other anesthesia related duties as directed by head of anaesthesia assistants.

**_Education and Licensure:_**
- Minimum diploma degree in anesthesia from accredited National/International University or College.
- Current professional licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
- Current valid certification of Basic Life Support obtaining that within 6 months' of commencement; of employment.

**_Professional Experience:_**
- Hospital experience in anesthesia is preferred.

**_Specialized Knowledge & Skill's:_**
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Familiar with English medical terminology.
- Have basic knowledge of pharmacology of drugs related to anesthesia and their actions and side effects.
- Good general health, able to work extended hours under stress with near visual acuity and no uncorrected audiological problems.
- Ability to deal with unusual situations arising from remote location and widely varying ethnic, cultural, educational and religious backgrounds among patients and co-workers.
