**Key Responsibilities**:

- **
Perimeter Security Management**
- Lead maintenance, configuration, and daily operations of next‐generation firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform security risk assessments for firewall rule implementations; ensure policies align with industry best practices.
- Configure and troubleshoot Azure NSG, Load Balancer, and UDR for cloud‐integrated components.
- **
Network & DDI Operations**
- Manage DNS, DHCP, and IP address allocations (DDI) for the airport’s network—process reservations, update resource records, and maintain IPAM tooling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex DNS/DHCP/network issues, including packet captures, log analysis, and root-cause identification.
- Support SD-WAN deployments and ensure stable, high-availability connections between terminals.
- **
Design, Implementation & Automation**
- Participate in planning new hardware deployments, ensuring resource availability for network and security services.- Design and develop automation/orchestration tools to streamline configuration drifts, policy updates, and routine maintenance tasks.
- **
Incident Response & Mentorship**
- Lead resolution of critical major incidents related to perimeter security or network outages; collaborate with global SMEs and engineering teams.
- Mentor junior members of the global security team—provide technical training, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response.
- **
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement**- Contribute to a central technology services organization—ensure alignment with enterprise-wide architecture, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Stay current on technology trends; evaluate, test, and recommend new security/network tools to enhance the airport’s infrastructure.

**Requirements**:

- To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

- **
Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Network Security, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in network security engineering within an enterprise environment—public sector or critical infrastructure (aviation, utilities) preferred.
- **
Certifications (preferred)**
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- Palo Alto PCNSA or PCNSE
- Any equivalent firewall/vendor-specific accreditation
- **
Networking & Security Expertise**
- Deep expertise deploying and managing next‐generation firewalls (Palo Alto strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS.
- Layer-2 technologies: STP, vPC, SPAN, VXLAN; Layer-3 technologies: OSPF, BGP.
- Hands-on with security technologies: IPsec, SSL VPN, IDS/IPS, Web Application Firewalls.
- Experience troubleshooting complex network/security incidents: packet capture/analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump), log review, root cause analysis.
- **
Cloud & Virtualization**
- Knowledge of Azure networking (NSG, Load Balancer, UDR).
- Familiarity with virtualized network functions or SD-WAN architectures.
- **
Automation & Documentation**
- Proficient with automation/orchestration tools (Ansible, PowerShell, Python scripting).
- Create and maintain standards documentation: SOPs for deployment, daily operations, and incident management.
- **
Soft Skills & Languages**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability; communicates clearly and succinctly.
- Able to navigate a matrix organization and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- English fluency is required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
