Parsons is looking for an experienced and highly skilled **Construction Director **to join our team. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the development of Mega projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The **Construction Director **must possess Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills, with extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly public venue or Stadium construction.
- Experience in **Stadium or large-scale public venues is highly preferred **due to the specialized nature and complexity of such projects.
**What You'll Be Doing**:
- Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction to the team to providing quality and timely technical resolutions and management of services that enable achievement of program goals and objectives.
- Establishes assignments for the construction team for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
- Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
- Responsible for preparing, implementing and maintaining Construction Management Plan and contributing to the preparation of supporting management plans, including Risk Management, Quality Management, Commissioning Management, Stakeholder Management, etc.
- Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, contractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.
- Mobilizes company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
- Works with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
- Drives the safety culture developing a strong safety ethic within the program
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field (or equivalent construction-related work experience)
- 25+ years of experience in construction management, with **stadium or large public venue construction successful management experience preferred **.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary diverse team.
- Ability to manage projects from throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of engineering and design principles
