**Job Summary**:
The Empty Handler Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of equipment designed to move, stack, and organize empty containers (such as shipping containers) within a warehouse, port, or yard. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, precision in handling, and an ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure seamless operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Equipment Operation:

- Operate empty container handlers or other heavy machinery to move and stack empty containers safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure it is in safe and operable condition, reporting any malfunctions promptly.

2. Container Handling:

- Load, unload, and relocate empty containers within the yard or facility.
- Ensure proper stacking to maximize space utilization while adhering to safety standards.

3. Safety Compliance:

- Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures to prevent accidents and damage to property or equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

4. Documentation and Communication:

- Record and report the movement of containers accurately.
- Communicate effectively with yard supervisors, logistics teams, and other operators.

5. Maintenance Support:

- Assist in basic maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

6. Team Collaboration:

- Coordinate with other operators and staff to streamline yard operations.
- Support other departments as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience:

- Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator, specifically handling empty container handlers, forklifts, or similar machinery.
- Certifications:

- Valid heavy equipment operator certification or license.
- Forklift operation certification (preferred).
- Skills:

- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret yard layout plans.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physically fit to operate heavy machinery and lift moderate weights as needed.
