**Overview**:
Atkins is a member of SNC-Lavalin, one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across the globe.

We are recruiting for a Senior Communications Manager to join our NEOM site office. This is a great opportunity to contribute to THE LINE at NEOM, a Giga Project being executed in the Tabuk Province of north-western Saudi Arabia. The City will serve Neom Region: an area near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development and delivery of a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the project’s objectives and vision.
- Manage communications activities, including media relations, stakeholder engagement, internal communications, and crisis communications.
- Support the project’s spokespeople with delivery of different communications activities, developing messaging and talking points.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant key stakeholders.
- Work closely with project leadership to ensure all communications efforts are aligned with the project’s goals and objectives.
- Support development of a robust social media strategy.
- Manage a growing team of communications professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications efforts, regularly reporting on key performance indicators.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Significant experience in communications, public relations, or related field, with some experience in a leadership role.
- Experience working on mega infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and concise messaging for a variety of audiences.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and media outlets.
- Experience managing a team of communications professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and experience developing and implementing a social media strategy.
