**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The purpose of this role is for carrying carry out the Avionic requirements of the scheduled maintenance, Modification embodiment and unscheduled maintenance, STOs and TI’s on Typhoon aircraft.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Carries out scheduled Avionic maintenance on RSAF Typhoon aircraft as detailed in the relevant scheduled maintenance, Modification Embodiment and unscheduled maintenance, STOs and TIs. This work includes but is not limited to: component removal/refit, cleaning and inspection of components, minor wiring rectification tasks, adjustment, testing and general aircraft handling.
- Is responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component.
- Works within the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders.
- Completes SMU forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation.
- Ensures their authorisations are current for the tasks in hand.
- Highlight to their immediate supervisor areas of their or others inexperience or training requirements needed to complete theirs or others daily tasks.
- Complies with the requirements of the SMU Quality Systems and RSAF Technical orders and publications.

**RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION**

**_Essential_**
- Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
- Qualified to NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent.
- Extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment OR successful completion of recognised apprenticeship programme
- Good interpersonal communication.

**_Desirable_**
- Typhoon aircraft Maintenance course.
- Experience in using IMS/ESS/WDMS.
- Experience is using Trilogiview.
- Ability to interpret technical publications.
- Awareness of aircraft wiring, databus and fibre optic repair techniques.
- Experience of RSAF documentation and procedures.
- Familiarity in the use of the MS Suite of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, power point)
