We are seeking an experienced Manager - Materials Management (Expediting) to oversee the expediting activities for a prestigious opera house construction project. The Manager - Materials Management (Expediting) will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services to meet project milestones. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop a comprehensive expediting strategy to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to expedite the procurement process and support in the negotiation of favorable terms and conditions to optimize delivery schedules and costs.
- Monitor the procurement process and track the status of materials and equipment orders and coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to expedite deliveries and resolve any issues or delays.
- Ensure that all materials and equipment meet quality standards and specifications and coordinate with the quality control team to conduct inspections and address any non-conformities in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of expediting activities, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inspection reports. Generate regular progress reports for project management and stakeholders.
- Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in the procurement and delivery process and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of operations.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to align expediting activities with project schedules and requirements and communicate proactively to address any issues or changes in delivery schedules.
- Monitor expediting-related costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements and work closely with the finance department to track expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in expediting and supply chain management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry within GCC (KSA Preferably)
- Proven track record of successfully managing expediting activities for large-scale construction projects.
- Proficiency in Project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Professional certification in supply chain management or project management (e.g., CPSM, PMP).
- Experience with international procurement and logistics.
- Familiarity with opera house or performing arts venue construction projects.
