Manager Warehouse Operations

**Key responsibilities**:

- Implement Warehousing department’s objectives in line with DP World business strategy.
- Participate in the development of the Warehousing department’s strategy in line with Flow’s business strategy and its translation into effective medium and short-term plans and long-term plans.
- Support the development of Warehousing department’s policies and procedures, performance indicators, and overall quality of Warehousing operations.
- Manage the Warehouse performance and prepare reports to share with direct managers where required.
- Recommend plans, programs, and initiatives to improve the performance and level of warehouse productivity.
- Implement set SOP’s - SLA’s and work programs as well as execute agreed plans, programs, and initiatives to improve performance and level of warehouse productivity.
- Manage receiving and storing of inbound stock in coordination with port operation department and relevant 3PL entities.
- Manage picking and dispatching outbound orders in coordination with relevant Logistics/Transportation departments and 3PL entities.
- Manage inventory within the facility, along with storage, recovery and write-off of goods
- Ensure the efficient warehouse space utilization and storing of goods, according to required specifications.
- Liaise with Transportation Departments and relevant 3PL entities to efficiently maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet forecasted demand.
- Record stocks and write-offs in warehousing facilities in coordination with inventory department
- Operate in accordance with Warehousing directorate’s policies and procedures.
- Meet targets set for Warehouse facility.
- Implement internal improvement initiatives in alignment with DP World strategic objectives and operational priorities, in coordination with relevant departments.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Coach and develop the team skills and ensure performance/competencies metrics are met.
- Evaluate subordinates’ performance and provide them with regularly feedback.
- Develop a positive work environment and encourage teamwork.
- Serve as a professional role model according to our principles among the team.
- Orient new subordinates on the department activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Principals.
- Accountable for leading, mentoring and team engagement.
- Providing direction, promoting collaboration and ensuring the team are enabled to achieve goals and objectives of the business
- Measure and monitor performance against critical criteria, policy and guidelines established by DP World
- Ensure compliance to DP World, Environment, Health, Safety, Security & IT policies and procedures.
- Understand and adhere to DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
- Ensure adherence to DP World standards and policies.
- Ensure data security is maintained to protect the privacy and interest of clients and key stakeholders.
- Manage team of professionals and disseminating knowledge through continuous learning and development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the line manager.

**Job requirements**:

- **Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in distribution, logistics, transportation, management, business studies, retail management, or a related field and relevant certification is an added advantage.
- **Experience**: 6 to 8 years in logistics, warehousing management, and transportation field. Previous experience in a leadership position.
- **Competencies and skills**:

- Proficiency with warehouse management software, warehouse, and Freight Forwarding Operations and safety procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, advanced in English and Arabic.
