- Functions as the Aviation Support Battalion (ASB) UH-60M Phase Lead under the direction of ASB Maintenance Manager. Responsible for prioritizing, tracking, and scheduling UH-60M Phase work orders. Reports any problems that affect completion timeline to Production Control (PC). Ensures maintenance is conducted in accordance with (IAW) the appropriate technical manuals or approved maintenance instruction guidelines. Ensures personnel are trained and qualified to complete the daily tasks and work orders assigned. Manages, maintains, and projects future bench stock requirements. Provides technical direction and training to Ministry of National Guard Soldiers, when needed. Responsible for ensuring all related maintenance operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives.**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
A. Duties/responsibilities:
- 1. Tracks back shops work orders, while ensuring parts and equipment are available.- 2. Maintains proficiency and currency in primary job specialty by supporting the workload of the assigned phase team as needed.- 3. Ensures phase team operations are streamlined to reduce maintenance times, helping to improve aircraft turn around times.- 4. Manages, maintains, and projects future phase maintenance requirements by ensuring inventories are completed IAW appropriate Army regulations.- 5. Coordinates with PC supervisor on maintenance and training requirements.- 6. Ensures maintenance operations are conducted IAW safety regulations and directives.- 7. Supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART), as needed.- 8. Provides technical direction and training to Ministry of National Guard Soldiers.- 9. Other tasks as directed by the first line supervisor or higher.B. Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods. Retains the authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: As directed by the first line supervisor or higher.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- A. Education Level:
1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.- 2. Preferred: Advanced degree or equivalent.B. Training Certifications:
1. Required: Graduated from a US military UH-60 maintenance course or possess FAA A&P or Foreign equivalent.- 2. Preferred: Graduated from a US Army UH-60M aviation maintenance course and possess an FAA A&P license or foreign equivalentC. Experience:
1. Required: Six (6) years’ experience in UH-60M aviation maintenance.- 2. Required: Two (2) years supervisory experience in aviation maintenance.- 3. Preferred: Ten (10) years cumulative experience in UH-60 MDS maintenance.- 4. Preferred: FAA A&P certified.D. Specific knowledge, skills, ability:
1. Must be able to communicate effectively with host nation personnel and company management.- 2. Must be proficient in written and spoken English.- 3. Possess a valid driver’s license.- 4. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
