Associate HC Risk Management Specialist**Job Code**:
30001052

**Basic Function**:
Works with interdisciplinary teams, departmental heads as resource for analytical aspect of risk management and patient safety date and publication results.

**Scope**:
May be assigned to work within any JHAH facility to assist with risk management and patient safety activities.

**Principal Contacts**:
Primary contacts are Director Risk and Chief of Quality & Patient Safety. Works with all levels of staff.

**Principal Duties**:

- Analysis and interpretation of data from JHAH databases, EPIC, DATIX, and other sources.
- Assists clinical patient safety teams with presentation and publication of their data and findings.
- Works in collaboration with Risk team, Patient Safety Officers, Quality Improvement and Quality Analytics Teams.
- Provides education on aspects of data analysis, research and publication to all levels of staff. Assists with maintaining accurate and confidential data.
- Assist with the performance of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for retrospective reviews and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA).

**Education**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required.

**Experience**:
Up to 3 years' experience working with clinical and education teams within a hospital setting.

**Certifications/Other requirements as applicable**:
Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or will be certified as CPHRM within 2 years.
