Role description

Our client, a global engineering and consultancy services provider is currently looking for a Senior Thermal Engineering Manager to join them at their Al Khobar Office, KSA.

To develop, lead, manage and coordinate the engineering studies and assessments across all phases of work, primarily thermal power plant.
Working on diverse project problems including thermal studies, RCA, plant assessments for old and new plants in collaboration with other teams.
Working on various operating plants in the kingdom, studies, surveys, analysis and solutions to client’s operating issues.
Working with and managing projects with supporting resources from the UAE, India and USA offices.
Supporting the business development functions of KSA, during low engineering project activity.
Supporting proposal development within the KSA consulting business.
Understanding costing and budgeting of consulting engineering projects.
Develop an in-kingdom engineering design and management team.
Support a growing engineering office covering thermal and renewable energies.
Interface with clients at all levels of seniority from working engineers to VP business management level.

This role is 80% Engineering with engineering management, interface, proposals and 20% Business Development activity.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Experience in thermal plant engineering, studies, design and project management.
- Knowledge of all engineering aspects of major power plant.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- Previous experience with powerplant projects in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of desalination and or renewables (not essential).
