**Your responsibilities**:

- Provides end-to-end legal services to management, functions and Business Areas.
- Provides L&I related advice to ABB management and acts as an advisor to the business stakeholders.
- Reviews and negotiates contract, drafts commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and L&I team members, and oversees contract and risks management.
- Monitors legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupies a seat at the table on local strategic business matters.
- Ensures good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in their area of accountability within the country.
- Responsible for handling major legal tasks involving problems of recognized complexity and ambiguity in facts, using their legal judgment and experience, and independent reasoning.
- Accountable for local country fiduciary duties and GDPR.
- Supports anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and develop appropriate strategies to address them.
- Identifies risks, external threats, and opportunities to the company, proactively and proposes appropriate strategies.
- Contributes to effectively managing the Annual Performance Plan (APP) and controls outside counsel expenditures.
- Manages and monitors the implementation and execution of the code of conduct across the organization and collaborates with the integrity & regulatory affairs team on integrity policies & processes, integrity investigations as necessary.
- Ensures all staff (under scope) understand ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
- Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
- Ensures adherence to all internal and statutory regulations and policies pertaining to the teams in scope.
- Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities across all teams in scope.
- Handling and ensuring corporate matters and RHQ corporate structure and operation are fully following local laws and regulations and Group Internal Guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains relationship with the key stakeholders of the respective/assigned unit and takes accountability for all legal matters in the unit.
- Promotes and enables collaboration across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results for ABB.
- Provides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.
- Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.
- Builds effective, competent, and high-performing teams.
- Reviews organizational effectiveness and performs competence assessments and continuous skill upgrades.

**Your background**:

- Ideally, you'll hold a Law Degree from a reputable Law university, LLM and/or Master is a plus
- At least 8-10 years.of experience
- Legal Advice, business strategy, contracts review, compliance, corporate laws, Shariyah Laws, negotiations, litigation, team key player, legal research and writing.
- Recognized experience working in Multinationals companies or International law firms
- Experience working with companies in the same field of ABB.
- Job Skills - Process Improvement & Optimization; Administration/Legal Advice; and Executional Excellence
- Fluent speaking and writing English and Arabic is a must. French language is a plus.
