As a Quality Control (QC) Inspector in the wood industry, your primary responsibility is to ensure that wood products meet established quality standards and specifications before they are released for distribution or installation. You will conduct thorough inspections of wood materials, components, and finished products, identifying defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and implementing corrective actions to maintain quality assurance throughout the production process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform inspections of incoming wood materials, including lumber, plywood, veneers, and other components, to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of wood products at various stages of production, from raw materials to finished goods, to identify defects, imperfections, and deviations from quality standards.
- Use precision measuring tools, gauges, and instruments to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions of wood components and products.
- Document inspection results, defects, and non-conformities in detailed reports, logs, or quality control software, including photographs and descriptions of identified issues.
- Communicate with production supervisors, operators, and quality assurance teams to address and resolve quality-related issues, providing guidance on corrective actions and process improvements.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control procedures, work instructions, and specifications to maintain consistency and reliability in product quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to identify underlying causes of quality issues and implement preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
- Collaborate with procurement teams, suppliers, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues with incoming materials and components, including conducting supplier audits and evaluations.
- Assist in training production staff on quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and quality standards to promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
- Conduct final inspections of finished wood products prior to shipment or installation, ensuring that they meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in wood manufacturing and quality control to enhance quality assurance processes and techniques.
**Salary**: ﷼5,000.00 - ﷼6,000.00 per month
