**Job description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform detailed cost analysis of products, materials, and processes to ensure accurate standard costing.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) in the financial system.
- Review and analyze inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, scrap, etc.) to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly inventory and cost reports, including variance analysis and reconciliations.
- Support monthly closing activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries and inventory adjustments.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts, and reconcile with the general ledger.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies in the supply chain or manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and production teams to align operational and financial data.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimation activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies related to inventory and costing.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary costing and inventory documentation as needed.

**Job requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ** Minimum 5 years of relevant experience** in Senior Cost Accountant.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cost allocation, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
