**JOB PURPOSE**

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

This role is responsible for carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs and modifications for Fast Jet on and off aircraft. To provide support to RSAF away from TSS if required.

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Performs major and minor mechanical maintenance, repairs, modifications and TCTO’s for Fast Jet Aircraft on and off aircraft.
- Responsible for the quality and completeness of the work he carries out, or signs for as having been carried out, on an aircraft or aircraft component in accordance with the approved data.
- Works within the requirements of the TSS Quality Management System, Safety Management System and RSAF Technical Orders.
- Completes Maintenance paperwork forms, appropriate aircraft forms, records and maintenance documentation both hard and electronic copies.
- Ensures maximum effort is made to safeguard the TSS programme timescales in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Highlights to his immediate supervisor areas of inexperience or training requirements, for himself and others.
- Provides on-the-job and theory training for trainees.
- Deputises, if required, for the aircraft supervisor

**RECRUITMENT** SPECIFICATION**

**_ Essential_**
- Have extensive proven experience within an operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR extensive proven experience on Fast Jet Aircraft OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP)
- Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.

**_Desirable_**
- Completion of Fast Jet Aircraft maintenance course.
- Working knowledge of Q-pulse, GOLD, IMS and an understanding of M&CA processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Hold a current driving licence.
- A sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to his work area.
- An understanding of the RSAF Operation and working practices.

**RECRUITMENT**
- Knowledge of relevant parts of the MOE and procedures.
- Ability to confirm full accomplishment of AGE maintenance tasks.
- Use, control, be familiar with required tooling and equipment.
