**The Opportunity**

**About the Team**

The **Nutanix Professional Services** team plays a pivotal role in the success of every Nutanix implementation. By engaging with customers during both pre-sales and post-sales phases, the team supports the development and execution of software-defined data center (SDDC) strategies and architectures. In collaboration with our partners, the Professional Services team not only ensures the successful deployment of Nutanix solutions but also helps customers fully realize their virtualized and software-defined data center goals. Our consulting services encompass assessment, design, implementation, integration, automation, and project management.

**Your Role**

You will:

- Lead workshops and consulting engagements with customers, emphasizing automation and cloud-native best practices.
- Deliver packaged Nutanix consulting solutions, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Take ownership of business outcomes for virtualization, automation, and cloud-native transformation projects—capturing requirements, leading design, and providing governance through delivery.
- Craft detailed design documentation and execute hands-on implementation, developing scripts and leveraging automation frameworks to streamline deployments.
- Partner with project managers to manage budgets and delivery milestones.
- Provide technical input and effort estimations in pre-sales discussions, helping scope automation and cloud-native engagements.
- Identify future services opportunities within projects, particularly in automation, orchestration, and cloud-native platform adoption.
- Contribute to practice development by building reusable assets, capturing intellectual property, and driving quality through peer reviews.
- Maintain expertise across the Nutanix product stack and related cloud-native ecosystems.

**What You Will Bring**
- Extensive experience architecting and automating complex data center and cloud-native solutions, including multi-site and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Solid understanding of SDDC concepts, containerized workloads, and cloud-native design patterns.
- At least 6 years of experience designing and implementing data center infrastructure virtualization projects (compute, network, storage), with a growing focus on cloud-native integration.
- Hands-on expertise with Nutanix AHV and/or other leading platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi/NSX, vSAN, SRM) in large-scale environments.
- Strong automation skills, including proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash, used to build automation workflows and deployment scripts.
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks (REST APIs, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef) to create scalable, repeatable infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration in both virtualized and cloud-native contexts.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to create advanced architectural designs and influence both technical and business stakeholders.
- Seen as a technical authority by customers and peers, with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- A Nutanix NCP/NCS or VMware VCAP is highly valued.
- Experience collaborating with engineering on product enhancements and leading critical customer escalations.
