The Senior Drilling Engineer performs all the well engineering activities within a project or Center of Excellence according to guidelines and processes set out in the Integrated Well Services (IWS) Management System, international and/or local standards and regulations and customer requirements.

As a Senior Drilling Engineer you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring all engineering activities are in line with HSE policies and procedures, and drive HSE culture by setting example through safe work practices.
- Participating in tender bid preparation process for well engineering input.
- Preparing well designs, well plans and operational procedures for construction, completion, intervention and/or abandonment of wells in area of responsibility.
- Preparing risk register and contingency plans, in collaboration with internal and external parties
- Preparing and participating in peer reviews, peer assists and other quality assurance activities related to the project.
- Communicating effectively with well site/project Drilling Engineers as needed, and making recommendations to engineers to optimize drilling performance.

**Fuel your passion**:
To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Bachelor's degree preferably in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical/Chemical Engineering with MS in Petroleum/Oil & Gas or Well Engineering.
- Have 8+ years of experience as a Well Engineer within IWS product line.
- Have excellent knowledge and experience in IWS product line.
- Experience in leading and managing engineering staff and drilling operations.
- Have experience of working with customers, identifying and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Be a natural communicator, with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Have excellent English oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear and simple messages.
- Be proficient in MS office suite, power BI or other analytical tools, well engineering and design software (for example: hydraulics, torque and drag, casing/tubing design)
