The Senior Specialist will collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to implement innovative waterproofing solutions that meet stringent quality standards while adhering to project timelines.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive waterproofing strategies for various civil structures within the Oceanarium, including tanks, pools, and underwater viewing areas.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and assessments to identify potential waterproofing challenges and develop effective mitigation plans.
- Work closely with design teams to integrate waterproofing requirements into architectural and structural plans, ensuring seamless coordination between disciplines.
- Select appropriate waterproofing materials and systems based on project specifications, environmental factors, and performance requirements.
- Oversee the installation of waterproofing systems, providing technical guidance to construction teams and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and performance tests on completed waterproofing installations to verify integrity and durability.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedule and budget.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on waterproofing for large-scale construction projects; experience in aquatic or marine industry is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of waterproofing materials, techniques, and systems, including membrane systems, coatings, and sealants.
- Proven track record of successfully managing waterproofing projects from concept to completion, with a strong emphasis on quality control and risk management.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
