Operator, Weighbridge

Position Summary: Responsible for receiving/transfer of all materials IN/OUT through SAP WB system. Major Responsibilities & Duties performed: - Ensure that the truck is positioned properly on the W/B platform before taking the gross weight. - To enter the vendor details in SRS and generate an inspection sheet. - To take the tare weight when the truck comes back after unloading. - Ensure the accuracy of first and second weights and their proper posting in weighbridge software. - Generate a W/B ticket along with the inspection remarks and deductions. - Ensuring the copy of the W/B ticket (Driver’s Copy) should be signed before handing over to driver. - Check the radioactive system and report to the concerned in case of any problems. - Inform Senior WB Operator or foreman whenever there is any radioactivity detected. - Maintain a close liaison with security, scrap inspector, foreman, for trucks movement coordination etc. - Responsible for the accuracy of the weighbridge data entry in system. - Other Jobs as required. Other Responsibilities: - To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies. - To follow safety instructions related to their jobs. - To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines, or equipment to concerned staff. - To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions. - To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities. - To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to the concerned responsible. - To attend safety training planned for them. - Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
