This position, based in Riyadh, involves supporting our Global Markets Equities, Investment Banking and Private Wealth Management businesses.
This management position will play a key role in the development and ongoing ‘Operations’ of the Riyadh office. He/she will report locally into the CEO of Saudi Arabia and then from a function perspective into the Client Operational Service head of EMEA branches. The Riyadh based team that
this role will support will be a small unit of experienced professionals with plans in place to help grow the business locally.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Manage local operations function in conjunction with the regional head office
- Ongoing administration and management of the local operations function
- Manage the production of accurate and timely daily, monthly, quarterly and year end reports for the Bank and the Regulators
- Take accountability and responsibility for core Operations functions which will include:
- Transaction lifecycle management
- Reconciliations
- Management Reporting
- Corporate Actions
- Funding
- Exchange and Regulator Communications
- Product enhancement and development
- Problem management and escalation
- Develop operation plan(s) for the location.
- Evaluate current methods and strategies and implement changes and improvements.
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in other parts of the business and in other geographies.
- Act as the primary local Operations liaison and maintain relationships with external organizations i.e. local suppliers, local regulators, auditors and advisors
- Work in conjunction with the Compliance Officer to ensure ongoing compliance to regulatory reporting requirements

**Core Skills**:
This is a mandatory role requirement as per CMA stipulations. The CMA will review the Operations Manager qualifications and experience.
As a consequence we are looking for someone who has:
- A graduate degree (preferably in Business)
- Considerable banking experience (min 2-5 years) gained within a regulated financial institution in a global investment bank.
**Person Specifications**:
- 5 years+ experience of working and managing in an Operations function for a financial institution.
- Previous experience of working within Saudi Arabia is essential
- Fluency in English is essential, Arabic is highly advantageous.
- Must be a self-starter, with a can-do attitude, committed and hard working.
It is expected that the individual will be a practical, hands on type of person and due to the size of team and business, the team will be responsible for the delivery of all day-to-day Operations related responsibilities. The team should be flexible, adaptable, and prepared to help on occasion to take on
additional responsibilities that may not traditionally fall under an Operations.
