**Senior Cost Control Engineer (Engineering Background)**

**-Job Description**

**Job Summary**:
The **Senior Cost Control Engineer** is responsible for managing and monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure cost efficiency and profitability. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, finance, procurement, and management to track expenditures, identify cost variances, and implement corrective actions.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Cost Control & Monitoring**:

- Develop and implement cost control procedures to manage project budgets effectively.
- Monitor project expenses, commitments, and forecasts to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Identify cost deviations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective measures.
- Prepare cost reports, financial summaries, and variance analysis.
- Ensure cost control systems comply with company policies and industry standards.

**2. Budgeting & Forecasting**:

- Work with project managers and stakeholders to develop and maintain project budgets.
- Prepare cost estimates, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts.
- Update and track project cost baselines, ensuring timely reporting of cost trends.
- Assist in developing cost-saving strategies to optimize project financial performance.

**3. Progress Measurement & Reporting**:

- Track and report project cost performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide management with regular cost reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Ensure accuracy in cost reporting and highlight potential cost overruns.

**4. Risk Analysis & Cost Optimization**:

- Identify cost risks and work with relevant teams to mitigate potential financial impacts.
- Evaluate contractor and supplier cost proposals, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with project requirements.
- Analyze and recommend improvements in cost control processes and systems.

**5. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, finance, and procurement teams to ensure financial efficiency.
- Support contract and procurement teams in cost negotiations and contract management.
- Ensure alignment between project execution plans and financial strategies.

**Qualifications & Skills**:
**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or related field).
- 10+ years of experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial management within engineering, construction, or oil & gas industries.
- Experience in handling large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary teams.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in cost control software such as **Primavera (P6), SAP, Oracle, and MS Excel**.
- Strong knowledge of cost management methodologies, Earned Value Management (EVM), and financial reporting.
- Understanding of project management frameworks and construction cost estimation techniques.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

**Preferred Certifications**:

- **Certified Cost Professional (CCP) - AACE**:

Pay: ﷼12,000.00 - ﷼15,000.00 per month
