**Responsibilities**:
Environment, Health, Safety (EHS) : - Provide leadership to resources to ensure that EHS are the priority of the business. - Rigorously enforce and reinforce section and all contract resources to comply with EHS policies. - Ensure hired employees & contractors adhere to EHS protocols/ regulations, policies and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. - Implement, lead and conduct key safety initiatives such as employee safety meetings and “toolbox” discussions, risk assessments, EHS audits, and environmental compliance monitoring. - Ensure Job Safety Analysis (JSA) e.g. Take 5, are conducted for all work and procedure standard is followed to maintain safe performance of all activities. Conduct audits to ensure the compliance. - Take appropriate action to maintain the workplace cleaned, tidy and 5S housekeeping is always promoted in line with MBS standards. Conduct audits to ensure the compliance.

Leadership: - Create and establish environment with a clear framework of with coaching, counselling and support to direct reports to ensure their personal development and positive contribution towards achieving section goals. - Provides the overarching leadership direction for the section and sets the tone for employee satisfaction and productivity. - Support in defining and re-fining the long-term maintenance strategy aligned with the business strategy and ensure the necessary world-class systems, processes and resources are provided to implement the strategy for the refinery. - Maintain open line of communication with his counterpart in the customer’s organization. - Ensure that the maintenance strategy for refinery is deployed by the area maintenance (including those not under direct control). - Define and implement the organisation structure and skill requirements to deliver the maintenance functions.

Maintenance Performance: - Ensure the long-term availability, reliability, sustainability and capacity of the Refinery White Side assets to help MBAC achieves the designated business objectives including production targets, in an environmentally safe, efficient and a cost-effective manner by creating environment, leading White Side section and deploying the philosophies, strategies, policies and procedures that employ best practices. - Provides the lead role in managing and aligning staff within the established framework of the company’s policies and procedures to maintain an efficient operation to achieve the planned production target using the established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Ensure adequate availability and reliability of area maintenance workshop to meet refinery area maintenance requirements.

People Development & Training : - Facilitate with area maintenance leaders assessing overall trainings needs and suggested improvements to strategically sustain MBAC for long run. - Conducts experienced / competent and new staff training gap analysis and facilities required trainings. - Ensures that On Job Trainings (OJTs) and assessments are implemented and effective to ensure that personnel under his control are competent to execute maintenance activities as per MBAC maintenance philosophy. - Ensure planned Job Qualification Programs (JQPs) are achieved. - Plan and execute yearly Individual Development Plan (IDP). - Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives. - Maintain updated training record and ensure that a succession planning process is implemented in his section.

Planning & Budgeting: - Help in formulating and developing annual strategic plan to improve cost and production performance. - Ensure section budget aligns with the short
- and long-term business plans of the company. - Support for annual & five-year training, maintenance budget consolidation and review of the budget against business plan, needs of the business and benchmarks. Submit and present the budget to upper management. - Plans all labour, material, parts and specialized services required to fully support area maintenance activities and refinery production. - Develops, approve, implements and controls the approved section budget, with continual focus on cost-reduction and improvements to plant performance and Operating efficiencies. - Contributes in annual capital plan development, project execution as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 10 years' Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
